I haven't slept in a long time
I wasn't commiting a crime.
I was writing a paper
not pulling a caper,
and to just say "it sucks" would not rhyme.
I don't want to go
to all my classes today.
I would rather sleep.
You never can tell
when a stumbled-on blessing
will happily last.
Now I get to play
the game of staying awake.
I hope I win it.
